A friend and I spent the day in the Pecos with our guide Kyle. I can't imagine a more patient, knowledgeable, intuitive, funny, and kind fisher-person. We were catching fish within minutes - and this is coming from two people who have never caught a fish, as hard as we tried. The skills he taught us really upped our game, and we had so much fun, the day just flew by. I can't wait to go back out with him again!

Took my in-laws, wife, and six month old baby for a guided fly fishing tour. All of us have zero experience fly fishing. We caught 10 trouts and brought back seven. Everyone going in caught fish. Be sure to ask for Easy. He's the best!!

Went to New Mexico for a wedding and booked a guided trip with the Reel Life. There guide Kyle took us out to the Caldera’s for a day trip targeting browns. Kyle was a very personable and offered great insight. Would highly recommend.

We went on a full day guided trip with Easy and he was the best! We had two first timers and one experienced angler in the group, and he took care of all three of us so well. I walked away with a ton of information and feel a lot closer to being able to fish independently. Perfect day!

Great Day of fishing with Easy! He listened to what I wanted to do and planned day perfectly. Started with some small creek technical fishing and caught a bunch of cut throat which was also my first time catching cuttys. Then we went to the Pecos and caught fish one after another. Wonderful experience here. Our guide Ivan had fantastic hospitality and helped make our experience enjoyable. He gave just the right amount of guidance to help us learn and have the best experience, without being too involved to where we could not enjoy it for ourselves for a little bit. The views of the locations were stunning and the communication from the time we booked our trip to the time we finished was great. We fished in Mid march and would absolutely recommend the guys here!

We had a phenomenal outing with Easy! Could not ask for a better guide and patient teacher! He knows his craft and, even more important, he is passionate about his love of nature and the streams in which he plies his trade. He was instrumental in giving us a day in the Jemez mountains that we will hold in our hearts forever! Thank you Easy!!!

I had the chance to fish for a morning with Ruben, one of The Reel Life's guides. Ruben was a very capable and diligent guide, and he was fun to fish with. I wanted to walk and wade a mountain stream, so we fished the Pecos. Flow was fairly high, so the fishing was somewhat challenging. The first couple of hours, we had no luck, and I could tell that Ruben was more stressed than I was! We moved downstream and did some pretty technical pocket fishing, and ultimately I caught a brown and three rainbows. When Ruben netted the first fish (the brown), I could tell he was more relieved than I was! The team in the shop was most helpful. The waders I had were either brand-new or close to it, and they fit better and were easier to move in than the ones I own.

Great fly shop with everything you need to get on the water. Booked a half day with Nik adler, and glad I did. Being a complete newbie to fly fishing he had me on fish every spot he suggested. Takes time to teach you about the water, hatches, and everything in between. Book a trip with the Reel Life,,, you won't be disappointed

We had groups of 3, 4, and 9 anglers. We went two different locations over three days. Each day was extraordinary!! Also, our group had beginners to advanced…we all learned, had fun, and caught some really nice fish!!! We will go with Reel Life when in Santa Fe. The store had plenty of selection to outfit our beginners and those seasoned anglers!!!

This was a highlight of our trip. Our guide, EZ was amazing. He taught us the basics quickly and efficiently. We were catching fish right away for most of the day. The stream he picked was both beautiful and barren of people. I would highly recommend to anyone. Best of all when you are on a river all day it helps to be with someone that is both knowledgeable and extremely personable. He was both. Thank you for a great day of fly fishing. Sean and Casey
